Hi

I'm new to the forum and have just been told by a friend about tapping.

My partner Steve has been diagnosed with ME and is suffering very badly he has been off work for 3 months and does not look as if he will be returning unfortunately.  He has been slowly getting worse over 2 years but has managed to continue at work till now.  We have spent thousands of pounds trying to get him better through detox and many other things and nothing has helped he has only steadily got worse..  I am so desperate and wondered if anybody knew if this thereapy has helped any body with this condition.  Steve's worst symptons at present are dizzyness, spaced out feeling, brain fog and distorted vision and generally feeling unwell as soon as he gets out of bed?

Hoping someone can help or advise?  Sad

Hi, Lorna-
I'm very sorry to read that your partner is suffering so badly.  ME and chronic fatigue are very difficult to deal with, aren't they!  I have not suffered from either myself but certainly the symptoms should be able to be helped with EFT.  If you have not gone to the Gary Craig archives yet and done a search for stories relating to your situation, here's the link:

http://www.emofree.com/Archives.aspx

I don't know what other dietary things you've done besides "detox" but you might also take a look at these websites for more information other than what you might get from a western doctor or nutritionist:

http://www.janethull.com/index.php

http://www.westonaprice.org/splash_2.htm

http://www.beyondveg.com/index.shtml

http://www.cholesterol-and-health.com/

http://www.thincs.org/index.htm

http://www.diabetescure101.com/

I list them in order of favorite for me but starting with Janet Hull's site first- and the reason I list them is because of the symptoms you describe- dizziness, spaced out feeling, brain fog, distorted vision.  I imagine you have already eliminated all artificial sweeteners and salts (including "natural flavor") and are limiting refined carbs, aiming for organic meats and veg, limiting natural sugars, eating plenty of high quality fats (so excluding all refined vegetable oils except for olive oil and using butter and organic coconut oil- hard to find in the UK and often very expensive), limiting caffeine, etc.

I would highly recommend finding someone experienced to help you get started with EFT because of the seriousness of the physical considerations.  Tam and Mair Llewellyn post often to Gary Craig's website and seem to have a really elegant and intelligent way of pursuing EFT.  I could be wrong, though, it occurs to me, in assuming you're in the UK by the word "pounds" as you could be in Australia or New Zealand, too.  I am certain that EFT can help with the symptoms and maybe even affect a cure, if you can figure out what emotional triggers may be involved but a practitioner experienced with ME and chronic fatigue would be a very good idea.  In the meantime, do go to Magnus' Tapping.com site and go through the videos, perhaps starting with the forgiveness one.  They are a great way to get started and his videos are very clear and easy to follow.  Magnus may be able to help you either himself or by recommending someone local to you.

I'm sorry not to be able to help you more.  Please write again and keep us posted on how things go.

Namaste.
