Hello out there fellow tappers! First off, I apologise beforehand for my poor english and for the many grammar mistakes this post will have. My english is a bit rusty  Cheesy.

Anyhoo, I wanted to share with other pple my xp with tapping and ask for your advice. I have been tapping for a while now, about 2-3 months. Unfortunately, I havent been able to tap quite as much as I would want to, not even for a few minutes every day, but when I manage to do so, I must say, I really notice big changes.
I have been tapping away all kind of unhappy toughts, but mainly I have been using it to destroy my aproach anxiety. You see, I have the typical frame of all people who are really unsuccessful with woman: An overprotective mother, who sometimes used to hit me "for my own good", an absent father....as I said, the typical psicological frame of most individuals who suffer social fobias and anxety arround woman.
Anyway, Ive been working a lot arround my feelings when I aproach woman and also in my past experiences. I must say, after a few intense tapping sessions (bout an hour each), I really started noticing differences when doing my aproachs.
Now, my questions for you, experts  Smiley:
1- When I dont tapp for a certain amount of time, old feelings come back....or maybe are just new, but feel quite the same? Do you think this would improve with more tapping sessions?
2- I ve been thinking that maybe, I should be tapping some of my abuse memories, but the thing is, I dont really feel they scared me that much (of course they did, but I guess I made peace with my parents a long time ago). Should I give it a go anyway, even though those memories arent painful for me anymore? What should I tapp?
3- Would daily short tapping sessions (ie. 15-30 mins) help me more than longer (1-1.30 hs), 2-3 times a week sessions?
4- Should I keep tapping aproach anxiety daily? Or should I focus in deeper feelings (2nd question)?
5- Is there any specific tapping drills you do when you feel like killing yourself?

Im sure I have more questions, but thats about all that comes to my mind right now.  Grin
Thks!.....And tap yourselves free  Smiley

ps. In case you were wondering, I do go to the shrink now and then, but I dont find it really helpful. It does help me, but I just dont see much progress with my social anxiety.

I can only speak for myself and my own experiences, so here goes.

I used to be a very shy, anxious person. One of the things that really helped was EFT. Other things that have helped are NLP (neurolinguistic programming), visualisation and yoga.

What has helped me more than anything else, was discovering "reactive hypoglycemia". It's not a disease, it's a condition that's probably very common.
The theory is this... When we eat something, our blood sugar rises. Our pancreas creates insulin to the sugar so that it can be used for energy. Our brains can ONLY use glucose as energy.

In the hypo person, the pancreas creates too much insulin and the blood sugar drops too low or too quickly. This is bad. The brain is not getting enough glucose and in response our adrenal glands produce adrenalin to balance the blood glucose level.

In the meantime, the person feels any or all of a bunch of symptoms. I couldn't believe the list included EXACTLY what I was feeling, including:

depression
circular thoughts
suicidal thoughts
anxiety
physical weakness
tiredness (esp. in the afternoon)

So what is the treatment for this? It's eating foods that don't produce the rush of insulin. The bad foods are simple carbohydrates like white bread, pasta, alochol, anything with sugar in it. Also, caffeine is really awful for hypo.

Switching to more protein, healthy fats and avoiding the foods above will help a lot.

This is basically the Low GI diet.

For me, this has really worked. I'm very much calmer and my life's so much better.

I'm not saying this is the answer for everyone but when I see how much depression there is, to me, more often than not, there is probably a dietary factor.

Bad food is also a "toxin" in terms of EFT. So eating healthily will make tapping work better.

mmm I have a really poor diet, but a healthy one. By this I mean, sometimes I dont get to eat as much as I should. My line of work (architecture), demands a lot of my time, and sometimes i just cant manage to cook a decent meal.
Of the symptomes you have described Im familiar with depression, sucidal thoughts, some anxiety (I have managed to reduce it A LOT thanks to tapping). Sometimes I do have physical weakness and tiredness, but I associate that to my intense phisical training (I go to the gym 5 days a week). Since I dont get a lot of sleep nor do I eat what I really need to for this kind of phisical training, I always asumed that these where the main reasons of my weakness.
I ve been trying to get my nutrition, my meals in order, since this is really important for my training, but I find myself without the time I need in order to cook.
I do, on the other hand, eat a lot of protein rich food. I eat red or white meat almost every day. Twice a week I eat fish. Almost no fried food. When I have the time, salad too.
In conclusion, I do eat the right things most of the time, but sometimes I dont eat at all. When Im too short of time, I might eat a hamburger (this tends to happen once a week). Im about 5`10" and I weight about 69 kg.
thks for all your replies so far!
