The importance of food for our well-being

Hi guys!
They say you are what you eat and boy, does this hold true! Iīve been a fitness enthusiast for about 8 years or so, and during this time Iīve tried every training approach imaginable, as well as most cutting diets. One thing that Iīve just recently realized though, is that despite eating "healthy", ingesting lean proteins, low-GI complex carbohydrates and even some veggies, I wasnīt really feeling all that well. The reason? Body acidity.
Since adopting an alkaline-based eating strategy (high vegetable and fruit intake along with meat), Iīve been feeling MUCH better, and, this is important, I feel that EFT has worked much better as well. I donīt do nearly enough, frankly, but it seems to be working regardless. Makes me quite curious about what the diets of those 'one-round-wonder' individuals are...
I know it might not be anything new to many, but I feel it is important to emphasize this. Most of the people who have had EFT work for them lead at least relatively healthy lifestyles, which naturally include lots of fruit and veg (highly alkaline). One canīt be a fat slob, eat shit and expect EFT to work. Your system has to be healthy to do so.
It is also important to note that improving your diet will improve your day-to-day emotional state. Anger, fear, low self-esteem, all of these emotions are commonplace. Since changing diet, my outlook has been steadily improving.
Dr. John Berardi has recently written a nice article about acidosis (from a bodybuilding point of view), but he attached a very nice food chart in his article, which lists alkaline and acid foods.

For those who just want the essence of that article here is a health food cheat sheet for those who want to buy the most alkaline and healthy foods. Its VERY exciting to have such simple information to make big results in health and wellbeing
Also I would recommend ozonated/oxygenated water for alkalizing the body

But... some people who are overweight and eating very unhealthy diets have gotten tremendous results from EFT. I appreciate what you are saying that the body's acid-alkaline balance would have an effect on how electricity/energy moves through the body and that general diet has a huge impact on emotional and mental states but EFT still works very well even on those who are not well at all so I think there may be more going on that we're not aware of yet.

Of course they get results. However, the results would get even better with the body functioning properly.

The reason I challenged this statement is because it's not true and it's not kind. Fat people, slobby people and people who eat "shit" do use EFT and it does work. In the Gary Craig archives there is story after story of people with weight problems who sort out their emotional issues and the weight just goes away. I know several overweight people who I am sure would be able to shed their problem pounds with their shedding of emotional issues- they already eat really good diets, exercise, drink plenty of water, do all that they can but still the weight clings to them no matter how hard they try. If I could get them to try EFT I'm positive this would do the trick but sadly, I haven't been able to do it.
I am not saying that EFT does not work better when a person is slim and eats good food, or that diet does not have a huge effect on how the body responds in terms of emotional resilience and ability to handle stress, but still, EFT does work and very well for people in all stages of health and weight. In fact, that is how many people, myself included, have gotten their health back in order. I'm also sure that we could find one or two slim, healthy people eating a good diet for whom EFT would not work- primarily because of PR or other problems like that, of course!

Like Iīve said, EFT can still work, but when it doesnīt, or only has a weak effect, one should primarily seek the culprit in oneīs nutrition. I didnīt think this out of thin air, I actually wrote this from experience. As for fat slobs, yes, it absolutely is unkind, but I have no desire whatsoever to be kind and respectful to a person who doesnīt have enough self respect to stop stuffing their face with junk food. Iīm not naturally lean and used to eat a horrendous diet (1 part McDonaldīs, 1 part Dairy queen), so Iīm not writing this from a different perspective. Healthy bodily function is a prerequisite to optimum healing and I donīt think itīs conducive to this to convince people into believing otherwise. Also, one can achieve the most amazing emotional healing and finally feel truly happy after years of darkness, but it wonīt help them one bit if they drop dead from a coronary heart attack.
